In terms of LNG projects, PVN requested to conduct further research on LNG demand since the forecast data in relation to LNG demand in PDP8 is inconsistent with the data collected by PVN. PVN recommended that LNG Hub should be located surrounding LNG-power centers in order to optimize the operation cost for power infrastructure and thus reducing power price. PVN proposed that the Government should provide incentives to encourage investment in LNG power producers as well as infrastructure for LNG.
In terms of offshore wind, PVN contend that potential of offshore wind is not fully exploited in PDP 8 with 2GW for offshore wind in 2030. PVN proposed to develop offshore wind from 2025, instead of 2030 as in PDP8.
